CMI, Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI) participated in the Second International Summit on Compliance and Corporate Governance, organized by the World Compliance Association (WCA) and Rafael Landívar University. Held in June 2025, the event brought together international experts and business leaders to reflect on the role of ethical leadership in building modern governance models inspired by ancestral principles.
Under the theme “Compliance Systems: The Ancestral Legacy Shaping Modern Governance,” the summit highlighted the importance of embedding values such as responsibility, integrity, and respect into a company’s organizational culture.

During his presentation, Enrique Crespo, CEO of CMI Capital, emphasized that purpose-driven leadership is essential to creating positive impact in both organizations and society. Drawing from the concept of the Ahau (an ancestral Mayan leader responsible for the well-being of his community) Crespo reflected on today’s corporate leaders’ responsibility to act with integrity, strategic vision, and human connection.

ISO 37001 Certification and REIR Values: Cornerstones of Governance
One of the milestones CMI shared during the summit was the recent ISO 37001 certification obtained in Guatemala, which supports its anti-bribery management system. Issued by AENOR, this certification reflects the corporation’s unwavering commitment to integrity across all operations.
This achievement reinforces the corporation’s REIR values – laughter in Spanish (Responsibility, Excellence, Integrity, and Respect) which are deeply embedded at every level of the organization. These values guide CMI’s corporate strategy and help build lasting relationships based on trust with employees, partners, and communities.
The summit also provided a valuable platform for exchanging best practices with experts from various countries, further strengthening CMI’s position as a regional benchmark in compliance and sustainable business practices.
