This innovative dining concept is the first project in Guatemala’s interior to earn this recognition, reinforcing CMI’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental preservation.

The EDGE certification (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) is a green building standard developed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. This tool focuses on making buildings more resource-efficient in terms of water, energy, and construction materials. To achieve this certification, a project must meet a minimum savings threshold of 20% in each category.
Pradera Bistró Chiquimula significantly exceeded these requirements, achieving savings of:
- Energy: 34%
- Water consumption: 61%
- Material efficiency: 86%
This certification establishes Pradera Bistró as a benchmark for sustainable real estate development, highlighting one of CMI’s core principles: being a responsible corporate citizen.
